Asia Pacific Business Council for Sustainability, along with The Leadership Post, have recently organised the Global Business Leadership Awards (GBLA) 2020 and the inaugural Global Halal Excellence Awards (GHEA) 2020.

Global Business Leadership Awards (GBLA) represents the most prestigious form of recognition for companies and organisations globally on leadership in business success and leadership in sustainability.

Its criteria are well-aligned to the 17 Goals of the Sustainable Development Goals and recognise the companies achieving triple bottom line success.

Global Halal Excellence Awards (GHEA), meanwhile, is a form of recognition to the Halal Business Industry. GHEA represents the most prestigious form of recognition for leaders and organisations globally who has performed and contributed to grow the Global Halal Economy.

The creation of GHEA is to elaborate the importance and significance of the Halal brand and businesses in the global market. GHEA aims to be the leading regional award to promote prominent Halal brands and businesses, and encapsulates a larger outlook to provide acknowledgement for the brands.

The awards’ objective is to recognise accomplishment of individuals and businesses for their sustainable and halal contributions to the nation’s economy and progress.

The award is also the organisers’ commitment to the Government’s call recognising and supporting home-grown businesses in showcasing its capabilities, services and products sustainably to the world yet acknowledging the role played by international community in making Malaysia sustainably competitive in the business world.

GBLA 2020 has 28 Awards Categories while GHEA 2020 has 17 Awards Categories. It also offers other business sector class awards and emerging business sector awards.
